A hard stance must be taken against speeding in school and park zones. Enforcement must be stepped up to ensure the safety of children and adults. When neighbourhood renewal happens, the city must evaluate how they can better engineer the streets to better control speed in residential neighbourhoods.
Residential parking programmes around transit hubs need to be put into place to ensure that neighbourhoods do not become park and rides. The transit hubs must have adequate parking for transit employees and riders.
As Councillor I will diligently work towards making our neighbourhoods as traffic safe as possible.
